Advanced Practice Providers Oncology Summit.

2026 Oncology 102 Virtual Conference

October 22nd - 24th

Oncology 102: An In-Depth Hematology and Oncology Review for Advanced Practice Providers

As the demand for cancer care continues to rise, the need for oncology specialists is outpacing workforce supply, creating a gap in care delivery. Advanced practice providers (APPs)—whose education emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and medical management—are playing an increasingly vital role in oncology teams. Many APPs entering the specialty, however, have limited formal training in hematology and oncology, making structured education essential.
Oncology 102: An In-Depth Hematology and Oncology Review for Advanced Practice Providers, developed by Horizon CME in partnership with APAO, is a two-and-a-half-day virtual program designed to expand clinical knowledge and practical skills across oncology care. Participants will explore advanced treatment strategies, supportive and palliative care, biomarker-guided therapies, disease-specific management, and patient-centered care approaches.

This program builds on foundational knowledge from Oncology 101, helping APPs strengthen their clinical confidence and enhance their ability to care for patients as integral members of multidisciplinary oncology teams.
