Attention BCOP pharmacists!

• Attend Horizon CME conferences and earn CE credit toward your BCOP recertification*.

Under the BPS pilot continuing professional development (CPD) recertification framework, BCOP pharmacists can earn up to 20 credits of CPD toward a total of 100 credits over their seven-year recertification cycle, where at least 80 credits must be assessed continuing pharmacy education (CPE) from BPS-approved professional development programs.

*The new recertification framework will begin with pharmacists who start a new recertification cycle in 2024. Pharmacists certified in 2023, or finishing a recertification cycle in 2023, will be the first cohort. The framework will then be applied each year until it is applicable to all board-certified pharmacists in 2030. BCOP pharmacists can earn a maximum of 10 credits of CPD per Recertification Cycle under the following categories:

1. CPE and CPD Portfolios (e.g. 10 credits of ACPE)

2. Academic, Professional, and Interprofessional Study (e.g. 10 credits of ACCME, ANCC)
